George & Betty Jones
George started E-Lite Tool & Manufacturing in 1957. After his service in the Korean War, he wanted to continue his patriotism in a different way. After a few years of working George, and his wife Betty of 51 years, decided to open a tool and die company. With many years of dedication and hard work they developed their dream and passion into quality American made products. George and Betty raised their two children, Scott and Debbie, into the trade and retired in 1990. Their legacy lives on through all the employees and family members here today. George believed customers wanted honesty and integrity along with quality parts being delivered on time.
Scott & Joni Jones
Scott Jones, son of George and Betty, joined E-Lite Tool in 1984. He took over the business in 1990 at the young age of 25. Through his years of service, Scott has become a leader in design and product development. Through his commitment to producing quality goods, he has maintained relationships with many large corporations over multiple decades. Working closely with customers and ensuring they are involved through all the steps of the processes has led to many close and trusted relationships throughout our country. His wife of now 35 years, joined him in 1998, becoming a valuable asset to the company. Through changing times Scott and Joni progressed and advanced their business to what it is today. They have always cared greatly about their employees and customers, which is a large contributor to their success. They have had many employees start and finish their careers with them because of the work environment they have created. They are both still working alongside their two sons and daughter to this day.
Scott Jr. & Brad Jones
Scott Jr. and Brad are sons of Scott and Joni, making them the third generation here at E-Lite Tool. Scott Jr. joined the team after getting his bachelor’s degree in engineering from SEMO in 2014. His brother Brad started in 2016 after receiving his Industrial Engineering degree from SIUC. Both have been part-time since an early age and share the passion that their father and grandfather had before them. They work alongside their sister, Amy, when she is free from teaching fifth grade in O’Fallon, IL. Combining the older generation’s work ethic with today’s education and technology has led to a new wave of productivity and excellence which will transition them into being the next owners of the business.

Working here at E-Lite Tool is a great experience. From getting to know the founders George and Betty, to working with Scott, and now Scotty and Brad who are a part of the company. Coming to work every day is easy when you’re made to feel like part of the family.
I have been a part of E-Lite’s team for over forty years. Over that time I have been a part of many changes. I have made close relationships amongst customers, employees, and Scott. It is nice to be at a place where my opinion is not only valued but appreciated.
